A classic steak with crispy roast potatoes, stock-braised onions and a proper peppercorn sauce.
Jes finally had time for a stint in the kitchen again, and it was to be spent on a real classic: rib-eye steak served with roast potatoes, stock-braised onions and peppercorn sauce.
When Jes is in the kitchen, it is usually for the slightly more demanding dishes, where several elements have to come together and be ready at the same time — and he is seriously good at it.
He is also very good at making a mess along the way, so it genuinely looks as though a bomb has gone off — but when he then serves a plate like this, you forget all about the mess in the kitchen and the hours of washing-up; you simply feel happy right down to your bones.
Thank you for dinner, darling 🙂
