The easiest puff pastry parcels with cinnamon, apple and marzipan – crisp on the outside and soft and gooey inside.
Here is a recipe for a speedy cinnamon dessert, cake or sweet snack, a bit like a cinnamon bun – ready in under 30 minutes.
Ready-made puff pastry is spread with a remonce (a soft butter-and-sugar filling) flavoured with cinnamon and grated apple, the marzipan is grated over the top, and the pastry is rolled up and cut into triangles. It doesn’t get much easier, and they taste wonderful. Brush with egg and sprinkle with a little cinnamon sugar before they go in the oven – so good.
Serve the puff pastry slices warm while they are still crisp, and pack any leftovers in an airtight bag and keep them at room temperature. They will stay soft and gooey for a couple of days.
Desserts with puff pastry
Ready-rolled puff pastry is a very forgiving dough – you can’t really go wrong. Puff pastry is perfect for both savoury and sweet cooking – and it is really easy to work with.
These sweet puff pastry parcels with cinnamon, apple and marzipan are delicious and at the same time very easy to make. They are at their best freshly baked, but if there are any left over, they are just as good the next day.
Puff pastry slices with cinnamon, apple and marzipan
Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry ready-rolled
- 2 apples
- 50 g soft butter
- 50 g caster sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 100 g marzipan
- Egg, for brushing
- Cinnamon sugar (optional)
Method
- Peel and coarsely grate the apples, then squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
- Combine the butter, sugar, apples and cinnamon and stir to a creamy filling (remonce).
- Unroll the puff pastry from its paper and spread the filling over the whole surface.Leave a couple of cm free along one of the long edges.
- Grate the marzipan over the base so it is evenly distributed.
- Now fold or roll the puff pastry up from one long side, so it forms several layers. Finish with the seam facing down, and press it gently flat – without squashing it.See the video above the recipe.
- Cut the puff pastry log into triangles.
- Brush the slices with beaten egg and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, if you like.
- Bake in a preheated conventional oven (top and bottom heat) at 200°C for about 18-20 minutes.
- Serve them warm.Afterwards, store them in an airtight bag at room temperature. They will stay soft and gooey for a couple of days.

Warm wishes, Dianna

Gode.
Kan de mon laves i Air fryeren ?
Hej Bettina
Det tror jeg bestemt 🙂
Tænker temperaturen skal sænkes til 180-185 grader, og så hold øje undervejs 🙂
