This pasta dish is completely irresistible – very easy to make, yet packed with flavour, and it feels like pure comfort food in the best possible way.
Inspired by the viral Turkish pasta from Anna Paul, but with my own twist, this dish has become a new favourite in our house.
The combination of spiced, crisply fried beef, silky butter sauce and ice-cold, creamy yoghurt dressing makes every single bite a real pleasure.
Top it all with sun-ripened tomatoes – either diced or as halved cherry tomatoes. They add a touch of freshness that balances the spiced, creamy flavours. Then all that’s left is to sit down at the table and enjoy – I promise this Anna Paul Turkish pasta will be a hit in your kitchen too.
The best Anna Paul Turkish Pasta – how to make it
To get the best flavour out of this dish, there are a few important things to keep in mind:
- Use beef mince that isn’t too lean, so the dish doesn’t turn out dry.
- Fry the mince thoroughly over a good high heat until it is browned and slightly crisp – this is where the deep flavour comes from.
- Let the butter sauce infuse while the pasta cooks and the mince fries. It can bubble gently, but it mustn’t burn.
- Use a Greek or Turkish yoghurt with 10% fat, and be generous with it – the cold, creamy yoghurt is the perfect partner for the spiced mince and the hot pasta.
- Top with sun-ripened tomatoes and parsley for a touch of freshness. The quality of the tomatoes makes a huge difference!
Then it’s simply a matter of serving and enjoying – this dish tastes incredible and is without doubt a keeper.
