Hjemmelavede pommes frites i Airfryer

Air fryer chips

Crisp, golden chips (French fries) cooked in the air fryer — dead easy, with a result that is hard to beat.
Homemade chips are simple to make in an air fryer, and they come out crisp and golden.
Soak them in water for at least 1/2 hour beforehand to draw out as much starch as possible; it helps make them even crisper.
When cooking chips in the air fryer, you only need to shake the basket once or twice along the way. That way you make sure they cook evenly between the layers too.
Golden, crisp chips every time — I always use my air fryer for homemade chips.

Method

  • Scrub the potatoes clean of any dirt, but leave the skin on.
  • Cut the potatoes into evenly sized chips, not too thick, but the size of regular chips.
  • Rinse them in plenty of cold water until the water runs clear, then put them in a large bowl of cold water and add the vinegar. Leave them to soak for at least 1/2 hour, but preferably longer.
  • Spread the potatoes out on a clean tea towel and pat them dry — it is important that they are completely dry.
  • Toss them in the oil and tip them into the air fryer basket.
  • Cook them for about 25-30 minutes at 185°C, shaking the basket once or twice along the way.
*Air fryers vary in how they heat, so yours may need a little more or less time; check as they cook.
  • Season with salt before serving.

  1. Hvad gør eddiken ved kartoflen ?

    • Hejsa

Syren i eddiken skulle, når kartoflerne har trukket i vand med eddike, sørge for at de bliver mere sprøde ved tilberedning 🙂

      Warm wishes, Dianna
