A recipe for Tunacado à la Joe & The Juice – the most delicious tuna sandwich with pesto, avocado and tomato.
I love a tuna sandwich, and this version really is something special.
For this JOE’s-style tunacado I’ve made the tuna salad with spring onions and finely chopped fresh jalapeño, which gives it a lovely crunch. Fresh jalapeños are usually fairly mild, so if you want it spicy, add a dash of Tabasco or some chopped pickled jalapeños – they have more kick 😉
Serve in toasted sandwich rolls – press them nice and flat in a panini press and toast until crisp.
Homemade tunacado is dead easy, takes no more than 10 minutes, and works out far more budget-friendly than buying one at the café.
