Græsk pasta – Smagfuld og cremet med krydret oksekød og feta

Greek pasta

This Greek pasta is a flavourful, irresistible take on the viral Turkish pasta, but with plenty of Greek flavours and a twist of its own. The dish is built around spiced, crisp-fried minced beef, which is tossed with crumbled feta and fresh parsley at the end for a perfect balance of salty and fresh.
The pasta is served with the crispy beef, a cold, creamy garlic yoghurt, juicy fresh tomatoes and chopped parsley – a combination that brings richness, freshness and a wonderful depth of flavour.

Tips for the perfect result

To get the best flavour, there are a few key steps you shouldn’t skip:
✔ Use minced beef that isn’t too lean – very lean mince can make the dish dry.
✔ Fry the meat over a high heat until it is browned and almost crisp – this is where the intense flavour comes from.
✔ Use sun-ripened tomatoes – either diced or halved cherry tomatoes. They add a burst of freshness that balances the spiced meat and the creamy yoghurt.

The result is a pasta dish that tastes absolutely incredible! Easy to make, full of flavour and perfect for both weeknights and entertaining.

Method

  • Heat a splash of oil in a frying pan and fry the mince over a good high heat. Once it is lightly browned, add the onion and spices and season the meat with salt and freshly ground pepper.
It is important that the meat is fried over a high heat.
  • Let the meat continue to fry, still over a good high heat, until it is lightly crisp and well browned.
Meanwhile, bring a pan of well-salted water to the boil and cook the pasta until al dente.
  • While the meat and pasta are cooking, stir together the ingredients for the yoghurt dressing.
Mix the yoghurt with the garlic and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  • Just before serving, melt the butter in the pan with the meat. Turn the heat down and add the feta and parsley. Toss well and take the pan off the heat.
  • Drain the pasta and divide it between 4 deep plates.
  • Top with plenty of yoghurt dressing, the lightly crisp beef, lots of fresh tomatoes and parsley.
Drizzle with a little olive oil if you like and season with freshly ground pepper.
