Tuna salad with cottage cheese – easy, healthy and high in protein
This tuna salad with cottage cheese is something of a weekday hero. It’s quick to throw together, tastes wonderful – mild and creamy – and it’s genuinely filling.
The cottage cheese gives it a light texture and a good dose of protein while keeping the fat content down. That makes it a healthier alternative to the classic mayonnaise-based tuna salads – without compromising on flavour.
The tuna salad is also very versatile and can be used in all sorts of ways. Pile it into a sandwich, spread it on toasted Danish rye bread (rugbrød), spoon it into cucumber boats or toss it with pasta and vegetables for a quick, satisfying main-course salad.
It’s ideal for packed lunches, an easy lunch or as a healthy addition to dinner.
Tips for your tuna salad with cottage cheese
