This creamy tahini dressing is a kitchen essential. Made with light tahini for a mild, nutty flavour, it is perfect spooned over fresh salads and roasted vegetables alike.
The dressing gets its smooth, silky consistency from a combination of tahini, olive oil, lemon, honey and garlic – and you can adjust the thickness with a little water, depending on how you like it.
It keeps well in the fridge, and if it thickens up a little, simply whisk in a splash of water to make it smooth and pourable again. Try this tahini dressing next time you want to lift your vegetable dishes with a flavour that is rich yet mild.
Tahini Dressing
Ingredients
- 50 ml light tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 2-3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 clove garlic, grated or crushed
- 50 ml water, preferably lukewarm
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Method
- Put all the ingredients except the water in a bowl and whisk them together with a balloon whisk.
- Adjust the consistency with the water. The dressing will seize and look grainy at first, but keep whisking and add more water until the dressing is smooth, creamy and pourable.
- Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper, and keep the dressing in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
Smager dejligt til bøf af Ingrid ærter og grønsager i wok.
Hej Helga
Tak for din dejligt anmeldelse 🙂

Warm wishes, Dianna
God dressing, men hvorfor 1 tsk sesamolie? Tahin indeholder jo oceaner af det i forvejen.
Hej Niels
Jeg synes egentlig bare at sesamolien runder det god af, og lige giver lidt ekstra – men det kan sagtens undlades 🙂
