Homemade spareribs – Spicy barbecue spareribs

Spicy barbecue spareribs, really easy to make, and a lovely summer classic.
We love spareribs in our house, and there is nothing like the smell of these spareribs on the barbecue – it is the very scent of sunshine and long summer evenings.
I like to give our spareribs a rub and leave them to sit in it from first thing in the morning, or just a couple of hours if it has slipped my mind. While they cook, we brush them several times with a homemade barbecue sauce so they come out beautifully caramelised. Do also try my version of classic barbecue spareribs, which has a sweeter marinade – it is more child-friendly than this one.
