A gloriously messy Danish roast pork sandwich (flæskestegssandwich) – crisp, juicy and very easy to make.
You can use leftovers from your Christmas dinner for the sandwich, or from any other day when roast pork has been on the menu – or you can make everything from scratch. I link to the individual recipes in the recipe card.
Roast pork with crisp crackling, fresh cabbage slaw, homemade braised red cabbage and mustard mayo: wonderfully messy and full of flavour.
A roast pork sandwich is the obvious thing to make the day after Christmas Eve, and a lovely way to use up the leftovers. But honestly, it tastes SO good that in our house we also put a pork roast in the oven just to make these sandwiches. Use whatever slaw or salad you have in the fridge, but sweetheart cabbage (pointed cabbage) in particular works well in a sandwich like this. If you would rather not toss the cabbage in a dressing, it can just as well go in raw – crisp and delicious either way.

For at gøre det ekstra “flæskesteg-lækkert”, så skal der lige lidt flæskesteg-sovs over 🙂

Hej Per
