Dalgona coffee is the ultimate creamy iced coffee – it looks stunning and tastes just as good.
It is made the classic way, with an airy coffee foam whipped from instant coffee, sugar and boiling water, then spooned over ice-cold milk to create that iconic layered look.
The soft texture and intense flavour of the coffee foam make a lovely contrast to the cold milk, and a light dusting of cocoa on top adds the finishing touch.
It is the perfect drink for coffee time, brunch or whenever you fancy treating yourself to something a little special. Dalgona coffee is easy to make and a sure favourite with coffee lovers.
Dalgona coffee
Ingredients
Coffee foam
- 4 tbsp instant coffee – I use Nescafé
- 4 tbsp caster sugar
- 4 tbsp boiling water
To serve
- 600 ml milk
- Ice cubes
- Cocoa powder (optional)
Method
- Put the coffee, sugar and boiling water in a bowl and whisk with an electric hand mixer until you have a pale, fluffy cream. It should almost be able to hold its own shape – then it is whipped enough.
- Fill 4 glasses with ice cubes and pour 150 ml of milk into each – more if needed.
- Top with the coffee foam and, if you like, dust with a little cocoa powder before serving your dalgona coffee.
Simpelthen så lækkert
Tusind tak, hvor er det dejligt at høre:)
