If you love crispy fries but would like a healthier version, you need to try green bean fries. They are made from haricots verts, baked until crisp in the oven or air fryer – an easy and delicious snack or side dish.
These green bean fries have the perfect balance of a crisp outside and a juicy inside with a slightly sweet flavour that goes beautifully with a good dip. Try them, for example, with a spicy chilli sauce, as in this recipe. Crispy green bean fries with Bang Bang chilli sauce
Green bean fries are not just a great alternative to regular fries, they are also a really easy way to get more vegetables into the meal – and trust me, they are so good that they disappear from the bowl in no time.
Crispy green bean fries
Ingredients
- 750 g frozen fine green beans (haricots verts)
- 3 tbsp oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- Paprika and garlic powder (optional)
Method
- Tip the frozen green beans onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment. Drizzle over the oil, season with salt and any other spices you like, and toss well with your hands.
- Spread the beans out on the tray so they are not piled on top of each other too much, and bake in a preheated fan oven at 210°C for about 30 minutes.Turn them 2-3 times along the way. Some will turn completely crisp, others will stay slightly soft – that is exactly how they should be.
- Serve immediately.
Smagte rigtig godt <3
