Christmas spritz with cranberry – a festive, easy cocktail for Christmas (and the rest of the year).
Here is a Christmas version of the classic Aperol Spritz – with a little twist of cranberry that makes it just right for December.
This Cranberry Spritz is very easy to make and tastes just like a classic spritz – only with a hint of something fresh and festive from the cranberry juice, and a beautiful red colour.
I make it with prosecco, Aperol and cranberry juice – topped up with a splash of sparkling water and plenty of ice cubes – and then garnish it with fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary. It looks beautiful in the glass and brings a little scent of Christmas.
You can also add a little freshly squeezed lemon – or lime – to make it even fresher and give it a touch of acidity.
This is a simple, festive and genuinely delicious cocktail that can be served at the julefrokost (Danish Christmas lunch), on Advent weekends, as a welcome drink on Christmas Eve – or for New Year’s. And of course it works at any other time of year too – it’s just as good all year round.
The flavour is mild and well balanced, and the cranberry juice doesn’t steal the show – it just adds a little festive kick.

Hej Diana
Hvilken tranebærjuice bruger du til opskriften?
Hej Lone
Warm wishes, Dianna
