Gooey garlic bread with parmesan and mozzarella, – made quickly and easily in the air fryer.
This cheesy garlic bread takes next to no time to make. Mix the butter, spread it on the bread, scatter over the cheese and give it about 6 minutes in the air fryer, – that’s all there is to it.
Cheesy garlic bread tastes ridiculously good, – perfect alongside soups and salads, at a barbecue, or as a snack or starter.
If you’re not keen on parmesan, leave it out or swap it for another cheese, – and the chilli can happily be left out too.
Cheesy garlic bread that’s soft and gooey inside and crisp on the outside, mmm.
Garlic bread in the oven
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can easily make your cheesy bread in the oven. Give it about 12 minutes in a preheated oven at 200°C, conventional oven (top and bottom heat).
Cheesy Garlic Bread in the Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 80 g butter, at room temperature
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or crushed
- 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp chives, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 ciabatta or baguette
- 80 g mozzarella, grated
- 30 g parmesan, grated
- Chilli flakes, optional
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Mix the butter with the oil, garlic, garlic powder and herbs, and season with salt and pepper.A pinch of chilli flakes in the butter is also really good.
- Halve the baguette or ciabatta, and cut it to size so it fits in your air fryer.
- Spread the bread with the garlic butter, then top it with the two cheeses.
- Place the pieces in the basket of your air fryer and give them about 6 minutes at 200°C, or until the cheese is golden and the bread is crisp.I don’t preheat my air fryer, – but they all heat differently, so do what you normally do.The garlic bread can also be made in the oven, – about 12 minutes at 200°C.
- Sprinkle with finely chopped parsley and chilli flakes, if using, before serving.
