A wonderfully tasty turkey stew with plenty of crisp vegetables and homemade Cajun seasoning.
A creamy turkey stew packed with flavour — it is spicy, warming and quite simply delicious.
Turkey is a relatively inexpensive meat to buy, and this batch gives you an easy, budget-friendly dinner for 6 people.
The Cajun turkey stew can be served with boiled rice, pasta, a good mashed potato or similar.
The dish can be made in under 30 minutes, and by keeping the cooking time relatively short you ensure the turkey stays juicy and tender rather than drying out.
Turkey stew as a late-night supper
This Cajun turkey stew with vegetables comes warmly recommended as a late-night supper for guests.
The dish can be prepared in advance and kept in the fridge, then simply reheated gently when it is time to serve.
It is easy and satisfying to serve with rice and/or pasta in the small hours, and a piece of pan-fried flatbread is also wonderful for dipping in the sauce.
