Asian smash tacos

These Asian-inspired smash tacos are a wonderful combination of pan-fried tortillas and the rich flavours of Asian cooking. The tacos are filled with juicy pork mince, seasoned with garlic and fresh ginger, and topped with an easy dumpling sauce, grated carrot and spring onions.
These Asian smash tacos are an exciting way to serve tacos that both surprises and delights. The combination of seasoned pork mince, dumpling sauce and fresh vegetables gives a twist you are sure to love.
Together, the seasoned filling, the fresh vegetables and the flavourful sauce make these tacos a favourite that both impresses and fills you up.

If you want extra texture in your tacos, cut the carrots into thin matchsticks – it gives more bite and a fresher texture. I often buy ready-grated carrots from the supermarket; they have a lovely crunch.

Method

  • Combine the ingredients for the meat and mix well.
  • Divide the meat into portions of about 75 g each, and press each portion out over a tortilla so it covers the whole surface. Prepare them all before you start frying.
  • Heat a splash of oil in a frying pan and fry the tacos meat-side down for a couple of minutes over fairly high heat. Press them down firmly with a spatula or similar for the first little while.
Depending on the size of your pan, you can fry one or two at a time.
  • Turn them over and fry on the tortilla side for about a minute. Set them aside, and if you like, keep them warm in the oven at about 80°C until they are all done.
  • Top the warm tacos with dumpling sauce, grated carrot and spring onions.

  2. Durita

Ser vildt lækkert ud! Kan du anbefale noget i stedet for en dumplingsauce?

    • Hej Durita
