Helsingborg Harbour - City life, harbour promenade and great restaurants
Helsingborg harbour - plenty to choose from
After last year’s summer holiday and sailing trips along the Swedish coast, we have become quite hooked on heading that way whenever the weather allows. The crossing is easy to manage – and if we choose Helsingborg, for instance, we can be there in just 10 minutes.
So when the (final) Great Prayer Day holiday came round at the start of May, we set off for Helsingborg. Plenty of sun and plenty of wind – but we had a superb berth in the harbour, right along the quayside, and barely noticed it.
There were not many people about, probably because of the wind – but there was still that classic, lovely harbour atmosphere along the promenade, especially on the Saturday.
Restaurants by Helsingborg harbour Helsingborg town centre is just a few minutes’ walk from the harbour – and here you will find plenty of shopping, restaurants and things to do.
There are also grocery shops, bakeries and cafés.
We ate at a sushi restaurant, two different Italian restaurants and a bistro-style restaurant down by the harbour.
Below you can read about our experiences at the different places we ate.
