Mazarin bites med pistaciecreme - Mazarinkage med pistacie

Mazarin bites with pistachio cream

Mazarin bites (small almond cakes) topped with a pistachio cream made with mascarpone and lemon, – a dessert you can make in under 10 minutes.
They taste wonderful and are perfect as a little bite-sized dessert, for a cake table, dessert buffet or similar.
I find it great fun to experiment with these easy desserts, – desserts that can be made in under 15 minutes.
I have gathered them all under this link, – dessert recipes in under 15 minutes – click here.
There you will find easy cheesecakes in glasses, – made without gelatine, mascarpone cream with berries and kammerjunkere (Danish crunchy biscuits), and more of these easy desserts built around the shop-bought cakes you can find in the supermarket.
You can buy ready-made mazarin bites and simply top them with the pistachio cream, – as I have done here. SO easy, and just look how pretty they are 🙂
But of course you can also bake your own mazarin cake – click here for the mazarin cake recipe.
This batch of mazarin bites with pistachio cream makes 16. If served on a cake table alongside other cakes/desserts, 1 per person is plenty; otherwise allow 2-3 per person.

Method

  • Put the mascarpone, cream, icing sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest in a bowl and whisk the cream together. Whisk only very briefly, – it thickens quickly.
  • Then fold the chopped pistachios into the cream, – save a little for the top.
  • Spoon the cream into a piping bag, ideally fitted with a star nozzle, – and top the small mazarin bites with the pistachio cream.
  • Sprinkle with the rest of the chopped pistachios before serving.

  1. Louise

Hej Diana! Ville denne creme/topping fungere på dine citron muffins? Evt uden pistacienødderne.

      Warm wishes, Dianna
