These teriyaki salmon bites are a brilliant way to enjoy juicy, flavourful salmon – cut into bite-sized pieces, tossed with teriyaki, ginger, garlic and chilli flakes, then cooked in either the air fryer or the oven. They come out perfectly caramelised, with just the right balance of sweet, salty and spicy.
The little salmon bites are wonderfully versatile and can be used in many ways:
In a bowl – Perfect as the protein in a buddha bowl, salad bowl or poke bowl, where they go beautifully with rice, vegetables and a good dressing.
In wraps – Wrap them in a tortilla with crisp salad leaves and a chilli mayonnaise for an easy, satisfying lunch.
As a main course – Serve with rice and extra teriyaki sauce for a quick and flavourful meal.
How much salmon should you allow?
Depending on how you serve them, you can adjust the quantity. A good rule of thumb is about 150-180 g of salmon per person if this is served as a main course.
If the salmon is served in a bowl with rice and vegetables, this quantity is just right – allow about 100-120 g per person.
However you choose to enjoy them, they taste wonderful – and best of all, they are incredibly quick to make.
