White gløgg (Danish mulled white wine) is a wonderful alternative to the classic red gløgg. With the flavour of apple and lemon and a blend of port and rum, you get a gløgg that is fresh, full-bodied and completely irresistible.
It is, of course, made with white wine, which gives it the light, elegant character that suits a cosy Danish Christmas so well.
Serve the gløgg with crunchy almonds, plump raisins and slices of fresh apple for the full experience.
This white gløgg is ideal for a Christmas lunch, a quiet evening in Advent or as a warm welcome for guests in December.
Tip: You can make the gløgg ahead of time so it only needs reheating when your guests arrive. It is easy, and it leaves you free to enjoy the company.
White gløgg – A base of apple, lemon and port
This white gløgg is built on a flavourful base in which the sweetness of apple and the freshness of lemon play off the rich taste of port. The combination strikes a fine balance that makes the gløgg both fresh and full-bodied.
The rum brings a pleasant warmth which, together with the spices in the extract, gives the gløgg an unmistakable taste of Christmas.
Apple gløgg – White wine and a touch of rum
The gløgg is mixed with white wine, which lends it a light, elegant character. A touch of rum adds warmth and depth, giving it just the right festive note – for those who love the classics as much as for those who want to try something new.
