Tortilla pizza with tuna, chilli and spring onions
Ingredients
- 8 small tortillas – or 4 large ones
- 150 ml pizza sauce – try this recipe – click here
- 200 g grated cheese, I use mozzarella and cheddar – perhaps a little more if you use large tortillas
- 2 tins tuna, drained well
- 1 bunch spring onions, sliced – save the green tops for after baking
- Chilli flakes
- Chilli dressing, optional – click here for the recipe
- Mixed salad leaves, optional
Method
- Spread the tortillas with pizza sauce, sprinkle with cheese and chilli flakes, – and top with tuna and spring onions.
- Bake them in a preheated oven at 200°C in a conventional oven (top and bottom heat), or 180°C fan, for about 10-12 minutes. If you are baking 2 trays at once, you will of course need to use the fan setting, – and I would also recommend swapping the trays around once the pizzas are a little more than halfway through baking. The tortilla pizzas should be golden and crisp at the edges.
- Let them rest for a moment on a wire rack when they come out of the oven, then top them with the finely sliced spring onion tops and, if you like, mixed salad leaves and chilli dressing.
