The pool has to suit the garden – in look, in size and, of course, in how it works.
Our pool is cast concrete, it measures 3.5 x 12 metres, and we chose a dark grey mottled liner throughout. We settled on the colour partly because it is easier to keep looking good – any dirt, discolouration and the like is far less noticeable than on, say, a white liner. But also because it simply looks much better set against the Øresund in the background. We also opted to add an automatic cleaning and dosing system, an automatic cover, chrome lights and so on.
It is a bit like buying a car. The offers and prices you find online are often stripped right to the bone – so depending on which lights you choose, the coping tiles, the colour of the cover, the liner and so on, it all adds up, because it comes as extras, and you can quickly find yourself a couple of hundred thousand kroner poorer after the meeting where you pick things out.
