Roasted pointed cabbage (hispi or sweetheart cabbage) is a simple yet remarkably flavourful dish that works as both a side and a starter. The cabbage is roasted in quarters, which gives it a light caramelisation and brings out its natural sweetness.
It is then topped with creamy burrata, homemade pesto and crisp toasted pine nuts – a combination that gives a lovely mix of texture and flavour.
This pointed cabbage and burrata dish is perfect as a side for barbecued food, roast chicken, salmon or a whole roasted (pork) tenderloin, but it also makes an inviting starter.
A versatile dish that suits many occasions and is a hit for everyday meals and celebrations alike.
Roasted pointed cabbage – an easy, flavourful side all year round
Roasted pointed cabbage is very easy to make and takes under 5 minutes to prepare. Simply place the cabbage quarters in a dish, drizzle with a little oil and seasoning, and roast until tender and golden.
You can also cook the cabbage on the barbecue, where it takes on a wonderful smoky flavour, or in a frying pan for a quick version.
This versatile vegetable is inexpensive, full of flavour and goes just as well with summer barbecues as with winter braises. Pointed cabbage is a vegetable that lends itself to endless variation and is popular all year round.

Kan de laves før og spises kolde?
Hej Kristina
Ja det kan de godt 🙂 Men lad da kålen dryppe af på lidt fedtsugende papir først så ikke de bliver smattede, og tag dem ud af køleskabet i god tid, så de ikke er køleskabskolde 🙂
Warm wishes, Dianna
Smager fantastisk!
Tusind tak Tine 🙂
Warm wishes, Dianna
