Norwegian Escape restaurants — the complete guide and review

We ate our way through the ship. Here are all the restaurants — with the emphasis on the ones we actually tried.

The restaurants we ate at

Haven exclusive

Restaurant Haven

For Haven guests only. A calmer atmosphere, more personal service and gourmet plates. We had sesame-crusted tuna, marinated pork, truffle risotto, surf & turf with lobster and béarnaise, ravioli and beautifully presented desserts. If you are staying in the Haven, make sure you use Restaurant Haven too.

★★★★★

Italian

La Cucina

Our first evening on board. Handsomely decorated, with the feel of a proper restaurant. A lasagne with plenty of layers, spaghetti carbonara, steak with ravioli, soup and a tiramisu that was really, really good.

★★★★☆

French

Le Bistro

Sponsored by Veuve Clicquot. Slogan: “Sip, Savor, Sail”. French bistro décor. French onion soup, arancini, pork chop with pepper sauce, sole meunière. Dessert: chocolate mousse with raspberries.

★★★★☆

Brazilian

Moderno Churrascaria

Meat carved at the table from large skewers. Picanha, filet mignon, parmesan-crusted chicken. A big salad bar, beans, rice and Pão de Queijo. Dessert: Coconut Flan. The most entertaining restaurant on the ship.

★★★★☆

24/7 · American

American Diner

A classic American diner, partly outdoors. Burgers served on metal trays, diner-style. Not spectacular, but fun — very cruise-ship American.

★★★☆☆

Buffet

Garden Café (buffet)

A huge selection, constantly replenished, and brilliant with children in particular. Not gourmet, but it works well and was far better than I had expected.
