An easy pasta dish with minced beef, mushrooms and broccoli, – creamy, full of flavour and satisfying.
This creamy pasta takes no time at all to make, – and it tastes seriously good.
If you want to save a few calories, you can replace 100 ml of the cream with extra stock or pasta water, – buuut let me just say that the full 250 ml suits it rather well 😉
Easy pasta dishes are among the things I cook most often, – we love them at home, and with a creamy sauce like this one the whole family can join in.
Have a look at some of my other pasta dishes under the “Pasta” menu, – there are plenty of tempting variations to get started on.
Pasta with Minced Beef, Mushrooms and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 4-500 g pasta
- 400 g minced beef
- 250 g mushrooms, – sliced
- 250 g broccoli, cut into small florets
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 1 handful basil leaves
- 1 onion, roughly chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or crushed
- 150 ml white wine (or stock)
- 100 ml stock
- 250 ml whipping cream (38% fat)
- 80 g Parmesan
- Salt and pepper
- Oil
- A little pasta water, if needed
- Lemon, if replacing the wine with stock
Method
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the onion, garlic and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the beef and brown it well, – season with a little salt and plenty of freshly ground pepper.
- Pour in the white wine and let it reduce a little before adding the stock and cream. Let the sauce simmer over a low to medium heat while you cook the pasta al dente according to the packet instructions.
- 5 minutes before the pasta is done, stir the Parmesan, broccoli and spinach into the sauce, – turn down to a medium heat, and season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon.
- Drain the pasta, keeping back a little of the pasta water in case the consistency needs adjusting, and toss the pasta with the sauce.
- Serve topped with a little freshly ground pepper, freshly grated Parmesan and/or a scattering of fresh herbs, such as the basil leaves.
