Fillet steaks seared in a hot pan and served with thyme-roasted beetroot and crisp pickled red onions. A simple, satisfying dish that needs very little preparation and can be on the table in under an hour.
This particular fillet steak was exceptionally good, a Greater Omaha steak bought from our local butcher, Slagter Lundgaard, in Humlebæk. It was wonderfully tender and full of flavour, – it is always a pleasure to visit the local butcher, who always has something new to offer.
