Coconut Margarita – A fresh cocktail with lime and creamy coconut.
Coconut Margarita is a tropical take on the classic margarita – fresh, creamy and with a lovely balance between sharp lime and rich coconut.
This is a cocktail with just a few ingredients, where tequila and Cointreau meet lime and coconut cream in a really delicious combination. The result is a silky, lightly creamy drink with plenty of freshness and a hint of exotic sweetness.
For the best result, it is important to use a good coconut cream or a creamy coconut milk – there are several varieties available, including in most supermarkets. Go for one labelled “cream” or “creamy”, and remember to shake the tin well before use so you get just the right consistency.
As always, you can adjust the flavour to your own taste – perhaps you would like a more intense coconut flavour or a little extra sharpness from the lime. That is exactly what makes cocktails so much fun to work with.
A fresh, delicious and truly inviting cocktail – perfect for warm days and relaxed evenings in good company.
