Waldorf salad is a classic that never goes out of fashion, and this recipe hits the mark every time.
It is made with crisp apples, crunchy celery, juicy grapes and roughly crushed walnuts, folded into a creamy dressing based on crème fraîche and a little whipped cream for extra body. The perfect side for festive occasions and relaxed dinners at home alike.
Waldorf salad is typically served as a side with dark meats such as beef and game, but it also goes beautifully with chicken, duck, goose or Danish roast pork (flæskesteg).
The salad comes together in no time and can easily be made earlier in the day.
Try serving Waldorf salad with your Christmas dinner too, it is wonderful.
Leftovers keep in the fridge for 1-2 days.
