Fajita seasoning – an easy recipe for a homemade fajita spice mix.
Homemade fajita seasoning is easy to make, tastes far better than the shop-bought kind – and you decide whether it should be mild or hot.
This fajita spice mix recipe is perfect for classic chicken and pepper fajitas, which you can serve in wraps, flatbreads or tacos. The seasoning is also lovely in Mexican-inspired pasta dishes and soups, or sprinkled over grilled vegetables and meat.
The recipe is as simple as it gets: just mix the spices and store the blend in an airtight jar – and you will always have your own homemade fajita seasoning ready in the cupboard.
A small tip: Pay attention to which type of chilli powder you use. Two tablespoons of regular chilli powder can make the blend quite hot. If you want a milder version, choose a mild chilli powder – or use a combination of mild and hot so it suits your taste exactly.
Homemade fajita seasoning

- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
Method
- Mix all the ingredients for the fajita seasoning and store it in an airtight container.Remember to season your meal with salt and freshly ground pepper, as I leave them out of my spice mix.
Ingen majsstivelse?
Hej Anders

Warm wishes, Dianna
