A classic burger with plenty of cheddar, crisp salad and homemade burger sauce.
Cook the patties on the barbecue, or fry them in a little oil in a pan, then top with cheddar while the patties are still hot so it melts down over the meat.
Serve them in homemade burger buns if you can – it really is the finishing touch – otherwise buy some good buns from the supermarket.
