A really good mustard vinaigrette with lemon and mayonnaise – lightly creamy and wonderfully flavoured.
This mustard vinaigrette is without doubt the one I make most often. It is so quick to stir together, and it simply tastes wonderful on most salads.
The mayonnaise rounds it off and gives it a light creaminess – do try it, it is quite delicious.
Serving suggestions
This mustard vinaigrette goes perfectly with green salads, ideally with apple or pear, edamame beans, parsley, cucumber or tomato. Try it with radishes, peas (fresh if you can), spring onions and potatoes too. It works really well with most ingredients.
The mustard vinaigrette can also be poured over freshly boiled, still-warm new potatoes – top with fresh cress, dill or parsley – and serve alongside a summer barbecue, a piece of chicken, a pork chop or baked fish.
