A classic Limoncello Spritz is the perfect summer drink, combining the sweet, tangy flavour of limoncello with sparkling prosecco and a splash of sparkling water. This refreshing cocktail is easy to make and just as suited to hot summer days as to festive occasions.
To make a Limoncello Spritz, you simply combine limoncello, prosecco and sparkling water in a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint to lift the drink and give it a beautiful presentation.
I mix it in the ratio 3-2-1, – just as I prefer my Aperol Spritz. That is 3 parts prosecco, 2 parts limoncello and 1 part sparkling water. Then you simply scale it up depending on how large a cocktail you want 🙂
A Limoncello Spritz is not only delicious but also lovely to look at, with its pale golden colour. If you like, adjust your limoncello spritz with a little freshly squeezed lemon juice, which I think suits it remarkably well, – but it can easily be left out.
Serve your Limoncello Spritz as a welcome drink for your guests, or enjoy it as a refreshing treat on the terrace. It is light, sparkling and full of citrus flavour, which is why so many people love it.
