Crispy Parma ham in the oven – an easy, flavourful topping for salads and sandwiches.
Crispy Parma ham is one of those small things that make a real difference in the kitchen – it tastes fantastic, is very easy to make and goes with almost anything.
The crisp, salty ham is perfect as a topping for salads, on smørrebrød (open-faced rye bread sandwiches), on top of an æggekage (thick Danish omelette), in a sandwich, or broken into small pieces and scattered over a creamy pasta dish or a soup, for example.
It is all done easily in the oven – and you can give it a little extra character with fresh rosemary, thyme or sage, which bake alongside the ham and release plenty of aroma and flavour as they go.
Use the ham as a crisp contrast in soft or creamy dishes – or simply as a little snack straight from the baking paper.
