A true Danish classic: beef patties (hakkebøf) with soft onions and pan sauce.
The dish is quite easy to make and can be served with all sorts of sides. Here we have served our beef patties with fresh Brussels sprout leaves, pickled red onions and pickled mustard seeds.
Roasted beetroot, fried Brussels sprouts and the like also go beautifully with a dish like this, and root vegetables and cabbages of all kinds are in season right now.
