A really delicious Asian marinade, dip and dressing, seasoned with garlic, lime and ginger.
It works wonderfully as a topping for meat, vegetables, rice, noodles and more – and it takes no more than 5 minutes to make.
Leave it to stand for at least 30 minutes before serving – that way you can be sure the flavours of the sesame, garlic and ginger have done their work in the dressing.
Brush it over a pork tenderloin before it goes on the barbecue, then top it with finely sliced spring onions and chopped peanuts – it tastes fantastic.
Asian marinade/dressing
Ingredients
- 100 ml soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger, about a 2 cm piece
- 2 cloves garlic, finely grated or crushed
- 1/2-1 lime, finely grated zest and juice
Method
- Mix the soy sauce with the garlic, ginger and the juice and finely grated zest of 1/2 lime.
- Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan until they take on colour and smell fragrant, then tip them into the soy sauce mixture. Stir well. Taste and decide whether it needs more lime zest and juice.
- Leave the marinade to stand for 30 minutes if you can, then taste again and add more lime juice and/or zest if needed. Serve as a dip or topping for all kinds of Asian dishes – it tastes wonderful.
Kan man lave marinaden dagen før ?
Hej Natalie
Det kan du sagtens, – dog vil jeg anbefale at vente med de ristede sesam da de ellers kan blive til den kedelige side 🙂
