The price – fair and well judged
We paid 2,893 SEK for the whole experience – starters, mains, dessert, wine, coffee, a digestif and food for the children. That works out at roughly 1,900 DKK, which is genuinely good value for this quality, service and location.
A quick look at the menu overall
The menu offers everything from small snacks such as Marcona almonds, olives and pork scratchings – perfect with a glass of wine – to substantial dishes with real character. There are:
Starters such as steak tartare, white asparagus and Kalix vendace roe
Mains featuring Arctic char, turbot, veal entrecôte and mushroom risotto
A shellfish section with gratinated langoustines, oysters and a seafood platter on ice
Classics such as smoked salmon and Swedish meatballs
And a three-course menu for 599 SEK, where you can choose between Toast Skagen, fish or meat, and a Swedish rhubarb dessert
The dessert menu is small but strong, and includes:
Crème brûlée with fresh berries
Poached rhubarb with almond cake and vanilla ice cream
And of course the white chocolate bavarois, which we had
