The menu at Address is classic Danish lunch – but elevated.
These are not heavy, overloaded pieces of smørrebrød (open-faced rye bread sandwiches). They are elegant, well balanced and thoroughly executed.
And yes… this is some of the best smørrebrød we have had.
White fish meunière – DKK 175
I had the white fish meunière.
A classic – but in a far more refined version. The fish was pan-fried in butter, juicy and really delicate. Not heavy, not greasy – just perfectly balanced.
The bread was delicious, the ingredients top-notch, and the whole dish had that finesse which lifts it above the classic level.
Chicken salad – DKK 165
Jes had the chicken salad, and it was a really beautiful plate.
Creamy without being heavy, fresh and with clear quality in the ingredients. It is the kind of smørrebrød where you can tell the details have been thought through.
Pariserbøf – DKK 225
For his second course, Jes had a Pariserbøf – the Danish classic of a rare beef patty on toasted bread with capers, onion, pickles and a raw egg yolk.
It can often be heavy – but here it was perfectly judged. You could easily eat it as a second course without feeling overfull.
That is actually quite impressive.
Vol-au-vent (tartelet) – DKK 215
I chose a vol-au-vent with chicken and asparagus in a creamy sauce.
And it was spot on.
Creamy, rich and full of flavour – yet still elegant. The puff pastry was crisp, the filling delicious and well balanced, and the whole thing felt like a luxury version of a classic.

The Chablis was a perfect match for the food. Fresh, mineral and exactly what you want with a lunch by the water.
The atmosphere – and the perfect ending
One of the things that truly makes Address special is the location.
It is absolutely stunning.
After we had eaten, we stayed a little longer and rounded off lunch with a drink out on the terrace.
And that really was the icing on the cake.
Sitting there with a drink in hand, the sun on your face and a view over the Øresund – that is exactly the kind of ending that turns a good lunch into an experience.
It is also where you realise that Address is not just somewhere you eat.
It is somewhere you linger.
