1tbspcapers, finely chopped - can be replaced with pickled gherkin
1tspDijon mustard
Salt and pepper
Instructions
Put the tuna, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chives, red onion, capers and celery in a bowl and stir well to combine. If you are not keen on celery you can easily leave it out, but it gives the tuna salad a lovely flavour and crunch. You can also leave out the capers, or replace them with finely chopped pickled gherkin.
Season to taste with lemon juice, salt and pepper, and keep the tuna salad in the fridge until it is to be served.Personally I think it tastes best when fairly freshly made, so I only make enough for 1 day at a time.
