Fry the bacon until crisp, and leave it to cool on a piece of kitchen paper.
Pour boiling water over the broccoli, then rinse it in plenty of cold water. Cut it into small bite-sized florets, and leave them to dry on a tea towel. You can also leave the broccoli to sit in boiling water for a few minutes if you would like it slightly cooked. Then rinse in cold water, and leave the florets to dry completely on a tea towel.
Mix the ingredients for the dressing, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cut the potatoes into smaller pieces, and put them in a bowl together with the broccoli, bacon, red onion, cranberries/raisins and sunflower seeds.
Pour the dressing over, and toss everything well to combine.
