2apples
50gsoft butter
50gcaster sugar
2tspground cinnamon
100gmarzipan
Egg, for brushing
Cinnamon sugar (optional)
Instructions
Peel and coarsely grate the apples, then squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
Combine the butter, sugar, apples and cinnamon and stir to a creamy filling (remonce).
Unroll the puff pastry from its paper and spread the filling over the whole surface.Leave a couple of cm free along one of the long edges.
Grate the marzipan over the base so it is evenly distributed.
Now fold or roll the puff pastry up from one long side, so it forms several layers. Finish with the seam facing down, and press it gently flat – without squashing it.See the video above the recipe.
Cut the puff pastry log into triangles.
Brush the slices with beaten egg and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, if you like.
Bake in a preheated conventional oven (top and bottom heat) at 200°C for about 18-20 minutes.
Serve them warm.Afterwards, store them in an airtight bag at room temperature. They will stay soft and gooey for a couple of days.
