Instructions
Take the meat out of the fridge about half an hour before cooking and trim away any sinew and larger pieces of fat.
Rinse the rice thoroughly and cook it according to the packet instructions.
Season the meat generously with salt.
Heat a frying pan over a good high heat and melt the butter (or heat the oil) in it. Fry the meat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on thickness, then leave it to rest on a chopping board for about 8-10 minutes.
Wipe the pan clean, heat it with a little oil and fry the broccolini for 2-3 minutes over a high heat. Set aside.
Divide the rice between two bowls and drizzle with a little hoisin or another Asian sauce, if you like.
Cut the meat into slices and arrange it on top of the rice. Drizzle with a little more hoisin.
Arrange the broccolini, avocado and cucumber in the bowls, top with goma dressing and sprinkle with sliced spring onions, toasted sesame seeds and freshly ground pepper.
Serve straight away, ideally with extra hoisin and goma dressing on the side.
