Pour a little oil into the pot in which the meat was browned and fry the bacon cubes until lightly golden, then add the mushrooms and fry until they have released their liquid.
Add the onion and garlic and fry until the onion is translucent, then sprinkle over the paprika and stir to combine.
Add the tomato purée and stir it into the contents of the pot, then stir in the peppers together with the meat.
Pour in the stock and the chopped tomatoes and let the stew simmer gently for 5-10 minutes.
Then pour in the cream, stir the cocktail sausages into the stew and season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Serve the stew with your chosen accompaniments and a sprinkling of finely chopped parsley.
