Mix the flour and paprika and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Turn the pork chops in the mixture to coat them.
Melt the butter with the oil in a frying pan, let it foam up well, then brown the pork chops on both sides for about a minute over a high heat. Set them aside in an ovenproof dish.
In the same pan, fry the bacon until lightly golden, then add the mushrooms and brown them too.
Add the onion and garlic and fry until the onion is translucent, then sprinkle over the paprika.
Add the tomato purée and cook it through for about a minute, then add the red pepper, stock and cream. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, then season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Spoon a little of the sauce into the bottom of an ovenproof dish, lay the pork chops on top and spread the rest of the sauce over them.
Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C, conventional (top and bottom heat), for about 15 minutes. The cooking time varies depending on the thickness of the meat and how long you browned the chops for.
Top with chopped parsley before serving, and serve with rice, pasta or potatoes.
