500gbeef mince
50gfeta
1onion, finely chopped
2clovesgarlic, grated or crushed
1/2red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped- or 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1handfulflat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1egg
2tbspdried breadcrumbs
1tspdried oregano
1/2tspground cumin
1/2tspground coriander
1/4tspground cinnamon
Salt and pepper
Cooking spray or oil*
Instructions
Mix the mince with the onion, garlic, chilli, parsley, egg, spices, breadcrumbs and crumbled feta.
Season with salt and pepper and, if time allows, leave the mixture to rest for a quarter of an hour or so.
Shape the mixture into round meatballs or flat patties of about 35 g each.
Place them in the basket of your air fryer and give them a light coating of cooking spray.*If you don't have cooking spray, rub a little oil on your hands and give each meatball/patty a quick "hug" so it gets a thin film of oil on the surface.
Cook them for about 12 minutes at 190°C on the air fryer setting.Check on them after 8 minutes – not all air fryers heat the same way.Depending on the type of air fryer you have, you may need to turn the patties/shake the basket of meatballs halfway through cooking.
Serve your Greek meatballs with a good tzatziki, a crisp salad, pitta bread, flatbread or similar.
