Instructions
Put the fries in the oven and cook them according to the instructions on the bag.*Meanwhile, get your Big Mac dressing ready too.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for a couple of minutes.
Add the mince and brown it well, then add the carrot, green pepper and spices and season to taste with salt and pepper.*The meat doesn't need long, so cook it when there are about 15-20 minutes left of the cooking time for the fries – that way it is hot and ready at the same time.
Season the fries with salt and spread half of them over a large plate or shallow bowl.
Top with grated cheddar, half the meat and a little lettuce. Then add the remaining fries on top, top with grated cheddar and meat, and scatter a little lettuce, finely chopped onion, gherkins and Big Mac dressing over the top. Serve the rest of the dressing on the side, along with extra lettuce if you like.*It is important that both the fries and the meat are hot when the dish is assembled, otherwise the cheese won't melt. *If you buy ready-grated cheddar, it usually needs a little more heat to melt – so in that case I'd recommend assembling the cooked fries, meat and cheddar and giving it a quick blast in the oven. Then top with lettuce, onion, gherkins and dressing.
